The Owl #1 |
The Owl v1 #1, 1967 - Revived by Jerry Siegel, the Owl is a masked hero from the 1940s with crimefighting gadgets and a special plane. Naturally, he's accompanied by his fiancee Owl Girl in a similar costume. This ornithological-themed comic also debuts the Birds of Prey gang, whose members don giant bird heads. Thankfully, this campy farce of a series from Gold Key only lasted two issues. Cover and interior art by Tom Gill. /// key 1st revival Owl, 1st appearance Owl Girl, 1st issue
