Marvel Preview v1 #7, 1976 - In a separate backup feature, Prince Wayfinder of Ithacon lands his spaceship on the planet known as Witch-World. Desperate for provisions, he discovers the world with sentient trees and anthropomorphic animals. Rocky Raccoon (later called Rocket) befriends the prince, joining him in his hunt for food. Armed and smoking a cigarette, this initial version of the character also sports a British accent (no doubt a reference to the Beatles). This Bill Mantlo story was drawn by Keith Giffen.
