Mystic Comics #4 - 1st Thin Man, Black Widow

 Mystic Comics #4
Mystic Comics v1 #4, 1941 - Packed with fantastical stories, this issue debuts two new characters into the Timely universe. Bruce Dickson, scientist and mountaineer, stumbles upon a warm utopia deep in the Himalayas. The residents endow him with the power to flatten his body at will. He convinces them he should return to society to fight evil as the Thin Man. Drawn by Klaus Nordling, this origin story vastly differs from George Kapitan's tale of a medium named Claire Voyant. Murdered out of revenge. she's resurrected as the Black Widow by Satan himself. Drawn by Harry Sahle, Claire is now an immortal who collects evil souls at the devil's bidding. Cover by Alex Schomburg. /// key 1st appearance, 1st origin Bruce Dickson as the Thin Man, Claire Voyant as the Black Widow
