Batgirl v4 #1, 2011 - Part of DC's New 52 revamp, the heroine begins the first issue of her 4th self-titled series. Barbara Gordon, miraculously recovered, starts life anew and encounters a murderous new villain called the Mirror. Ardian Syaf and Vicente Cifuentes illustrate this Gail Simone script. One of the pre-eminent good girl artists of the time, Adam Hughes, does a fine job on the cover. The title character is prominently featured with a thin black outline that allows her outstretched hand to appear more three dimensional.
