Micronauts v1 #8, 1979 - Baron Karza, enlarged to human size, battles the entire military at Cape Canaveral. The Micronauts join the fight but ineffectually. Only the sudden intervention of Captain Universe begins to turn the tide. Ray Coffin, a middle-aged astronaut, is the first of many hosts endowed with powers that emerge during crises. Interestingly, Captain Universe is more of a mysterious force than an individual. This Bill Mantlo story was drawn by Michael Golden and Bob McLeod.
