(Walt Disney's) 101 Dalmatians v1 / Four Color v2 #1183, 1961 - Al Hubbard does a terrific job with this adaptation of the popular Disney film. The majority of pages use an eight panel grid, enlarging the scenes only at the beginning and end of the story. Hubbard's wonderful drawings keep the pace from becoming too tedious, varying the scenes and viewpoints. His cover nicely manages to convey a multitude of dogs without detracting from the main characters. As an added bonus, readers are treated to a page of stills from the movie and two additional pin-ups. Cover by Hubbard.
