Eerie v3 #90 |
Eerie v3 #90, 1978 - Building a time-space distorter, the Rook travels to the beginning of the universe itself.
Alex Nino's sole Rook story is also among his longest for Warren publishing. The artist fills nearly all twenty pages with surreal intergalactic imagery. Grey tones are used where necessary to imply distance or atmospherics (most effectively on the interior page below). Did I mention the story is drawn in landscape format? Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Richard Corben (in full color), Jose Ortiz, Leo Duranona and Gonzalo Mayo. Cover by Corben. This is 2 of 5
