Banana Splits v1 #1, 1969 - Appearing on television from 1968-70, this live action Hanna-Barbera show featured an animal-costumed rock band: Fleegle the dog (guitar, vocals), Bingo the gorilla (drums, vocals), Drooper the dog (bass, vocals) and Snorky the Elephant (keyboards). A year after their television debut, this first issue began their separate comic book adventures. Character and costume designs by Sid and Marty Krofft.
