Space 1999 v1 #1, 1975 - Earth finally and firmly establishes its first moon base in 1999. An unknown source subsequently tears the moon away from its orbit and heads further into space. Premiering in 1975, this sci-fi tv show featured veteran actors Martin Landau and Barbara Bain. This first issue debuted not long after, written by Nicola Cuti and drawn by Joe Staton.
