| Watchmen #1 |
Watchmen v1 #1, 1986 - When DC rejected his reinterpretation of the newly acquired Charlton Comics characters, Alan Moore simply revised them and created a jarring alternate future to go with them. The result is the Watchmen, one of the two best selling series of the 1980s. This premiere issue is the first of twelve in the complete series. The Comedian, Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, Ozymandias, Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach all make their debuts. Though not a big fan of the artist, I appreciate Dave Gibbons' thoughtful and precise artwork.- - - - - - - - - -
