Eerie v3 #101 - Jim Starlin art

Eerie v3 #101
Eerie v4 #101, 1979 - Did robots exist in the early 19th century? The Rook travels back in time to find out. Jim Starlin's one and only rendition of the character is sorely diminished. Alfredo Alcala's inks add richness and texture to most of the panels (see interior page below). Unfortunately, Starlin's pencils are suppressed as a result. His contributions to the story are quite frankly unrecognizable. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Richard Corben. Cover by Jim Laurier. This is 5 of 6 Eerie issues by Starlin.
