Tomb of Dracula #10
Tomb of Dracula v1 #10, 1973 - Making his first appearance, Blade the vampire slayer sneaks on board an ocean liner to confront the prince of darkness. His abilities seem limited to hand-to-hand combat skills combined with the use of wooden (teak) knives. No mention of his origin or back story at this time either. Still, he hits the mark as a popular recurring character on the series. This Marv Wolfman story was drawn by Gene Colan and Jack Abel. Cover by Colan. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover Blade
