1994 magazine v1 #17, 1980 -
Alex Nino illustrates a pair of stories combining futuristic and spiritual themes. In the first, a space traveler reaches the edge of the universe, while the second debates the existence of god between spacemen. Nino's artwork on the shorter tale is distorted and farcical. By contrast, "Asshole of the Universe" tries a new visual approach. The predominant color on each page is black, with whites and grays for illumination. Word balloons are absent, making Nino's drawings more quietly elegant. Other artists in this bronze age science fiction magazine include Jose Ortiz. This is 7 of 17
