All Star Comics v1 #3, 1940 - Previous issues had several superheroes, but in separate unrelated stories. In this issue, the characters come together to form the
Justice Society of America. Comprised of the golden age versions of the Sandman, Atom, Spectre, Flash, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Green Lantern and Hourman, this issue is the
first superhero group in comics. Each member recalls a recent case, sharing it among the group. In subsequent issues, the JSA would embark on their own adventures together and add more members along the way. Written by Gardner Fox and drawn E. E. Hibbard, Sheldon Moldoff and Bernard Baily, this story was later reprinted in
