Mystic #6 |
Mystic v1 #6, 1952 - Returning to Earth from Venus, a tired and haggard astronaut is met by a lone observer at a weather station. He recounts being attacked by large floating eyeballs that absorb their prey. This sci-fi tale is perfectly suited for Basil Wolverton's weirdly appealing style. His drawings are enhanced by purposeful lines and textures. Deceptively simple, the artwork is both distinctive and compelling. This issue also includes art by Bill La Cava, Vern Henkel and Manny Stallman. Cover by George Tuska. /// select Wolverton art
