Punch and Judy Comics v2 #10 |
Punch and Judy Comics v2 #10, 1947 - Jack Kirby and Joe Simon try their hand at the funny animal genre with Lockjaw the Alligator. Discovered in the Florida Everglades by a curious professor, this talking gator becomes more trouble than he's worth. Without much experience in this genre, Kirby's drafting skills are skill evident. Far more detail and dimension occurs on his pages than the other stories combined. Other artists in this golden age issue include
Charles W. Winter and Tony DiPreta. This is 1 of 5 Punch and Judy Comics issues by Kirby.
