More Than Human GN (graphic novel), 1978 - Adapted to the graphic novel format for the first time, Theodore Sturgeon's 1954 novel is exposed to a new generation of readers. This epic science fiction tale is Alex Nino's longest work at over 100 pages. His illustrations, like the story narration, are set against solid black backgrounds. While the text is harder to read, the artwork tends to pop off the page. Nino's layouts vary, accommodating the amount and placement of text throughout. His drawings are merely adequate, but his sharply exotic style brings a surreal quality to the novel.
