| Happy Comics #34 |
Happy Comics v1 #34, 1949 - A city cat visiting a farm inadvertently becomes a hero, while a grasshopper finds his dream job in a city of ants. Both of these text stories have accompanying illustrations by Frank Frazetta. Compared to other works in the same series, the artwork is smaller and less significant. The grasshopper tale looks hurriedly drawn, without much detail. By contrast, Frazetta's tomcat story, displays a high level of care and effort despite its size (see interior page below). Other artists in this golden age comic include Jack Bradbury. This is 14 of 17 Happy Comics issues by Frazetta.
