Steve Ditko |
Amazing Spider-man v1 #18, 1964 - Since running away from the Green Goblin, Spider-man gains the reputation of a coward, much to J. Jonah Jameson's delight. The action is somewhat restrained in this story, with more interaction and dialogue between characters.
Steve Ditko's cover art has to compete for attention with the surrounding text. His interiors are marginally better, but lack the verve of previous issues. Cameos by other Marvel heroes: FF, Avengers, Daredevil, etc. abound. This is 18 of 38
Amazing Spider-Man issues by
Ditko.
