Fantastic Four v1 #7, 1962 - Sequestered to Planet X by the alien Kuurgo, the FF must find a way to save their planet from imminent destruction. Divided into five chapters, the story is enhanced by Jack Kirby's roomy full page splashes. The bulk of his artwork, however, seems to fit too many elements into numerous panels. The Fantastic Four's planetary arrival on page 16 is a highlight artistically, but the remaining pages and sequences are quite rudimentary. Written by Stan Lee, this is 7 of 116 Fantastic Four issues by Kirby. /// key 1st appearance Kuurgo- - - - - - - - - -
