Jack Kirby / Wally Wood |
X-Men v1 #14, 1965 - Scientist Bolivar Trask creates an army of
Sentinels for the sole purpose of protecting mankind from mutants.
Jack Kirby's cover looks clunky and imbalanced (even with
Wally Wood's inks). The heroes stumble in as a lone Sentinel corners Professor X (why does the telekinetic Marvel Girl need to swing in on a rope?). Kirby's interior layouts fare no better as his contribution is mostly imperceptible. This Stan Lee story was drawn by Werner Roth and Vince Colletta. This is 14 of 17
X-men issues by
Kirby and 1 of 1 X-men issues by
Wood. ///
