Adventure Comics #159 - Frank Frazetta art

Adventure Comics #159
Adventure Comics v1 #159, 1951 - A mistake by Merlin transports the Shining Knight and his sidekick Butch to the 35th century, where villains conspire to undo the peace of a futuristic Earth. A lot of dialogue fills many of the panels, leaving less room for Frank Frazetta's splendid drawings. Still, the artwork excels, showcasing futuristic yet medieval-inspired attire and cityscapes. The artist also effectively combines contrasting characters into a visually appealing story. This story was later reprinted in Masterworks Series of Great Comic Book Artists #2. Other artists in this issue include Curt Swan, Ralph Mayo, Al Plastino and George Papp. This is 6 of 8 Adventure Comics issues by Frazetta. /// Frazetta gallery
