Jim Starlin |
Batman Family v1 #20, 1978 - The Ragman makes a guest appearance, possibly his first since the cancellation of his own series.
Jim Starlin illustrates one of his few wrap-around covers of the period. The two main characters are featured on the front while Robin, Batgirl and the Man-Bat reside on the back. Although a tad busier than I'd prefer, Starlin should be commended not only for his terrific art, but for a panoramic design that works as both a single page and spread. This cover was later reprinted in
Best of DC #51. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Bob Layton, Michael Golden, Bob Smith, John Celardo, Josef Rubenstein, Don Heck and Jim Staton. This is 3 of 3
