The Eagle v1 #1, 1941 - Nazis living in America develop a virus that turns men into mindless giants. When a troop of soldiers disappear, the Eagle and his sidekick Buddy spring into action. First appearing in Science Comics, the character evolved from being a winged hero to a caped patriot with a new partner to boot. This first issue also features Spark Stevens and Rex Dexter and contains art by Klaus Nordling and Dick Briefer.
