Groo the Wanderer (Special) v2 #1, 1984 - Taking over from Pacific, Eclipse publishes this expanded one-shot first issue. In the first of two feature stories, Groo's imbecilic actions lead to the destruction of two enormous armies. The hilarious script by Sergio Aragones and Mark Evanier chronicles how the addled barbarian got his samurai swords. From the magnificent two-page spread to the later splash page, Aragones' excellent artwork is even better than usual. Rounding out the book is a reprint of Groo's first appearance in Destroyer Duck #1.
