(Walt Disney's) Sleeping Beauty v1 #1 / Dell Giant, 1959 - When snubbed by the royal family, a malicious fairy curses the princess with eternal sleep. Based on the Disney film that premiered the same year, this comic book adaptation is beautifully rendered by Al Hubbard. He delivers the longest work of his career, spanning seventy-five pages without section or chapter breaks. Large panels are generously used throughout for dramatic effect. Hubbard also draws an additional twelve page tale featuring Sleeping Beauty and the Prince, along with pin-ups and puzzles galore. Painted cover.
