Web of Spider-Man v1 #1, 1985 - In this first issue of Spidey's third series, Peter Parker tries to distance himself from his symbiote costume but to no avail. Meanwhile, a gang inspired by his arch-enemy the Vulture takes to the skies. While Spider-man struggles out in the open, the Vulturions launch an attack. Charles Vess' ethereal painted cover adds a touch of fantasy to the character, making this issue all the more special. This Louise Simonson story was drawn by Greg LaRocque and Jim Mooney.
