Beep Beep the Road Runner v1 / Four Color v2 #918, 1958 - Wile E. Coyote tries to make dinner out of Road Runner's three kids. The trouble is, they're all speedsters and too smart to be captured in the vast open desert. The Road Runner makes his first appearance in comics, along with his wife and children. Although he doesn't speak in the cartoons, Beep Beep (as he's now called) prefers to speak in rhyme. Stories by Paul S. Newman.
