Funnyman #1 - 1st appearance

Funnyman #1
Funnyman v1 #1, 1948 - When comedian Larry Davis does a publicity stunt to stop a bank robber, he likes it so much he becomes the crimefighting Funnyman. From the creators of Superman comes a hero who uses comedic antics and gadgets to fight crime. All stories were written by Jerry Siegel and drawn by Joe Shuster (with help from John Sikela and Dick Ayers). Note the words "trade mark" on the upper right of the cover, ensuring this character, unlike their previous creation, is creator-owned. Cover by Marvin Stein.
