Uncanny Tales v1 #1, 1952 - An FBI agent sees worm-like aliens in a graveyard, two elderly sisters are discovered to be housing rats, and a man tries to escape a hypnotist's thrall. These are some of the grotesque tales in this first issue. Sol Brodsky illustrates the cover, which is marginally related to the lead story. Why a corpse's arms would deteriorate faster than the rest of the body is beyond me. Other artists in this issue include Russ Heath, Manny Stallman, Dick Ayers and Paul Reinman. /// key 1st issue
