Chew v1 #1, 2009 - Due to a bird flu epidemic, all chicken and chicken products around the country have been outlawed. Detective Tony Chu works for the Philadelphia police department, but is also a cibopath. That this, he feels psychic emanations from anything he eats. Except beets. In this first issue, he uses his special talent to collar a serial killer and subsequently gets recruited by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
