Flash v1 #106, 1959 - Not one, but two super villains are introduced in only the second issue of the series. In the opening tale, a super-intelligent Gorilla Grodd comes to Central City to obtain mind control powers. Completing this task enables him conquer Earth via gorilla armies. The second story pits the Flash against a man with a super-sonic flute. Initially, the Pied Piper sounds like an unbeatable foe.
