Starslayer v1 #3, 1982 - Cliff Secord uses the mysterious jetpack to go airborne when a young pilot's life is in danger. But maneuvering and stopping prove to be a challenge. This backup tale is the Rocketeer's second appearance, continuing from the previous issue. Dave Stevens' engaging artwork captures the era (1930s) and atmosphere perfectly. Cliff's girlfriend Betty (based on model Betty Page) makes her debut in the storyline and begins as a supporting character. The Rocketeer's adventures continue in Pacific Presents.
