Frosty the Snowman v1 / Four Color v2 #359 (#1), 1951 - A year after the Gene Autry song of the same name, the lovable snowman gets his own comic series. Frosty is visualized based on the descriptions in the lyrics. In this first issue, his main adventure includes reuniting Santa Claus with a bunch of runaway toys. The Rankin/Bass Production Company would adopt a similar character design for their 1969 animated cartoon. These stories were drawn by John Stanley and Dan Gormley.
