The Mod Squad v1 #1, 1969 - A police captain convinces three social outcasts to work together as undercover investigators. Their youthful, hippie personas allow Pete Cochran, Lincoln Hayes (Linc) and Julie Barnes into environments hostile to police. This first issue comes out roughly a year after the ABC television show debut. Curiously, the story artist chose to portray Linc in a smaller afro (see interior page below).
