Star Spangled Comics v1 #7, 1942 - Police officer Jim Harper discovers he can do more good as the costumed Guardian in his off time. Meanwhile, he gains custody of four juvenile delinquent paper boys. Tommy, Big Words, Gabby and Scrapper learn the error of their ways and form the Newsboy Legion to help fight crime. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby introduce yet more heroes to DC, through their trademark dynamic storytelling and art. In a separate tale, scientist Bob Crane's brain is transplanted into a robot body in order to save his life. When his colleague is accused of murder, Robotman springs into action. The character's first appearance is written by Jerry Siegel and drawn by Leo Nowak and Paul Cassidy.- - - - - - - - - -
