Goofy Comics #26 |
Goofy Comics v1 #26, 1948 - Frank Frazetta delivers two stories of extraordinary quality within the same issue. Both illustrations are ample in size, one nearly occupying a half-page. Both are superbly drawn, with a level of detail not seen in most "funny animal" books. Frazetta draws the wolf in "The Rabbit Who Wouldn't Run" so menacingly it borders on disturbing. On "Wingless Wonder", the artist provides a large beautiful vista that's only comparable to Carl Barks in this genre. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Hubbard and Jack Bradbury. This is 7 of 16 Goofy Comics issues by Frazetta.
