Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves #31 - Steve Ditko art & cover

Steve Ditko

Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves v1 #31, 1972 - Desperate and needing a heart transplant, a wealthy man strikes a deal with a man willing to give up his own organ. Steve Ditko's cover is too chaotic for its own good. Inside, he continues using the file folder motif among the panels (see interior page below). While not entirely effective visually, I applaud his attempt at something new. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Peter Morisi and Sam Glanzman.
