Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves #42 |
Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves v1 #42, 1973 - A young woman is unknowingly engaged to an unscrupulous cad, following the pattern of her deceased great aunt. Beautifully drawn within simply paced layouts, this story is among Steve Ditko's best work for Charlton. Each panel seems carefully constructed. Lines and shapes combine to emphasize a strong graphic quality. Pages 2-3 are especially rich in visuals. Though the last page tends to wane by comparison, overall Ditko's effort is exemplary. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Tom Sutton. This is 29 of 42
