Against The Grain: Mad Artist Wallace Wood v1 #NN (no number), 2003 - Full of articles, interviews and sketches, this book sheds light on Wally Wood's life and work. Early comic book works are featured, including a whole section dedicated to the EC years. Other works include book illustrations, Topps bubble gum cards and concepts for the movie Mars Attacks. Interestingly, Wood also did sketches for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, perhaps an attempt to break into the children's book market. At 160+ black and white pages, this book is longer and more comprehensive than the Wallace Wood Treasury published decades earlier.
