Marshall Rogers profile

Marshall Rogers (1950-2007) - Born and raised in New York, Rogers was an architecture student at Kent State in the late 1960s. Upon returning home, he did odd jobs for various industries before being assigned his first comics story: a Daughters of the Dragon tale in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #26. In the mid 1970s, Rogers received critical acclaim for his work on DC's Detective Comics and later, Marvel's Doctor Strange. He had a precise, detailed approach to his illustrations, which had an advanced sense of scale and perspective. His linework was impeccable, often paired with applied gradients, patterns and grids. Like Bob Kane and Neal Adams, Rogers' rendition of Batman is one of the most iconic in the character's history. Read more on Wikipedia.
