Creepy #104 |
Creepy v1 #104, 1979 - Alex Nino contributes the last story in this special robot-themed issue. In it, a mechanical genius tires of the people on Earth and settles on another planet light years away. His only source of companionship and entertainment are the numerous and various robots he's built. Nino's unusual linework is prevalent throughout the story, but could have benefited from the gray washes applied to his opening splash. Still, the artist maintains a high standard, utilizing the black and white format to full effect. This story was later reprinted in
Creepy #119. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Terry Austin, Jose Ortiz, Alfredo Alcala and Pablo Marcos. This is 8 of 14
