Weird War Tales #70
Weird War Tales v1 #70, 1978 - Three space pilots crash land onto an asteroid filled with carnivorous creatures. Can they survive long enough to be rescued by their fleet? Alex Nino opens with a rare opening splash. His vision of far-flung space is weirdly compelling, almost biological in design. Subsequent pages show the artist's penchant for surrealistic alien forms and landscapes. Nino's fantastical style seems perfect for this sci-fi story. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Gerry Talaoc, Dick Ayers, Dan Adkins, Jerry Bingham and Romeo Tanghal. This is 13 of 13 Weird War Tales issues by Nino. /// Nino gallery
