DC Special v1 #29: the Untold Origin of the Justice Society, 1977 - With the larger page count, this issue chronicles the JSA's formation at the onset of World War Two. Neal Adams does an excellent job with the cover, despite all the figures jam-packed into the scene. Rather than focusing on the heroes, the artist puts Adolph Hitler front and center. Adams' depiction is uncanny, making this effort all the more compelling. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Joe Staton. This is 5 of 5 DC Special issues by Adams. /// key 1st origin Justice Society- - - - - - - - - -
