Strange Adventures #18 |
Strange Adventures v1 #18, 1952 - A strange blossom grows in an astronomer’s flower box, causing him to have dreams of alien landscapes and a beautiful girl. Despite this odd little tale,
Alex Toth approaches the artwork with all seriousness. Dream sequences abound, yet the settings are less imaginative than expected. Finally, inker Sy Barry maintains plenty of detail but loses the gestural quality of Toth’s pencils. This story was later reprinted in
DC Special #3. Other artists in this golden age comic include Murphy Anderson and Carmine Infantino. This is 6 of 7
