Avengers v1 #187, 1979 - Receiving a distress call from Quicksilver, the Avengers arrive on Wundagore Mountain, only to be captured by the demon-possessed Scarlet Witch. John Byrne begins with a disorienting yet superb cover design. Inside, the artist concludes this origin storyline with great skill and confidence. Modred's attack on the Avengers is especially well drawn (pages 4-8), employing fine linework and texture.
