Ghost Manor v2 #1, 1971 - With this this first issue, Charlton begins its second series of the same name, continuing its eclectic brand of horror stories. Steve Ditko draws the tale of a young woman who inherits a centuries-old mansion and meets some odd distant relatives. The layouts are interspersed with Mr. Bones, the series host who often injects humor into the scenes. From the opening splash to the climax, Ditko uses pattern and texture to support his sharply rendered drawings. Most pages are carefully and impeccably designed (see interior page below).
