Strange Adventures v1 #8, 1951 - Centuries after Vegans have conquered Earth, scientists send a warning through time to prevent the event from happening. A newspaper journalist must then prove its veracity to the world. Alex Toth’s artwork is generally suppressed by the inking. Bernard Sachs’ approach is conservative and straightforward, omitting much of the initial spontaneity. Toth’s style is most evident on the opening splash, where a montage gives a glimpse of the plot. Other artists in this issue include Jim Mooney and Gil Kane. This is number 1 of 7 Strange Adventures issues with Toth art and/or covers.
