Avengers #185 |
Avengers v1 #185, 1979 - Traveling to eastern Europe, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch trace their origins to a mountain citadel in ruins.
John Byrne's pencils are capably delineated by Dan Green, whose inks add a soft, supple dimension to each page. European scenery, clothing and architecture of an older tradition appear entirely convincing. The opening splash (along with several large panels) only reinforce the fact that this is Byrne's best Avengers issue yet. Cover by George Perez and Terry Austin. This is 8 of 17
