Batman: The Dark Knight #2 - Frank Miller art & cover

Frank Miller
Batman: The Dark Knight v1 #2, 1986 - Older but no less dedicated, the Batman must quell the growing army of thugs known the Mutants. With the help of a new Robin, the hero brings about a confrontation with the Mutant Leader. Frank Miller battered, yet defiant Batman fills the entire cover, his body pushed up against the margins. Inside, the layouts are meticulously planned and masterfully paced. Three bold splashes are interspersed for maximum effect, including the Batman's emergence from his tank-like batmobile of the future (page 21). This is number 2 of 4 Batman: The Dark Knight issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Batman: The Dark Knight issues. See also this blog's Frank Miller checklist.
